Day Time Smoke Eye

Hi everyone! I’ve been loving this look recently and I decided to do a blog post about it. Its day time appropriate and you can also mix and match it with different lip colors! Enjoy xx

I’m starting off with this shimmery cream eye shadow as my primer and just using my fingers to apply it all over my eye lid up into the brow bone and inner corner.

Taking this light grey, almost matte eye shadow and an all around eye shading brush, I’m applying this all over my eyelid and not passing over the crease area.

Just flip the brush over and take this slightly shimmery grey-ish taupe eye shadow and place it on the outer half of my eye lid and then blending it out with a fluffy blending brush. I’m then taking the same shadow and placing it on my lower lash line.

Using a small crease brush I’m taking this matte brown eye shadow and focusing on the outer end of my eye lid, making a “V” shape to make it smokey. And then using the same blending brush, blend those harsh lines.

Taking a small smudge brush and the same matte brown eye shadow, I’m just running this on my lower water line mainly focusing on the outer half and not really bringing it all the way in.

Taking the lightest color from the quad, and using a big eye shading brush, I’m placing it underneath my brow bone as a highlight and inner corners.

Just tight line your eyes and water line with a black eyeliner.

Lastly, curl your lashes and apply mascara. And we’re all done with the eyes!
Time to finish the rest of the face.

For blush I’ll be using this coral pink blush and also highlight my cheeks, bridge of my nose, cupids bow and forehead.

I figured this lipstick will be a nude shade I decided to outline my lips first with a mauvey-pink lip liner then filling it in.

All complete! <3

Peek-a-blue
I was inspired to re-create Emma Pickles’ Peek-a-blue Make up Tutorial. Her eye looks are just amazing. And this one is my favorite so far. I didn’t really used the same products that she did, again I was inspired. If you want to watch the make up tutorial, just click here. Enjoy :) xx

Starting off with a turquoise eyeliner, I’m using it as a base to lay out where I want the blue color to be. This eyeliner is seriously amazing (all products will be listed at the end of this blog), I’m basically just lining a quarter of my eyelid and not passing over the crease. I’m then gonna pat on this gorgeous eyelid color to set the eyeliner in place.

I’m then taking this almost skin tone matte eyeshadow and placing it on the outer half of my eyelid.

Taking this light brown color with gold shimmers through it, I’m patting it on the center of my eyelid to blend the two colors together.

Lastly, taking this matte light brown eyeshadow, I’m placing it on my crease to slightly add a bit of dimension into the look. I’m not really doing anything more dramatic than a slight contour just because I want the blue to really stand out.

Finishing off the look by lining my top and bottom water line with brown eyeliner; curling my lashes and applying mascara.

The look is now complete <3

Lip Junkie
Lip products are my most favorite to buy. I love trying out new colors and see what works with what. I for one don’t really follow a certain trend, if I want to wear a plum lipstick in a hot summer day, I would. These are my favorite lip products for the past few months, most are drugstore and a couple of high end. So enough chit chat, here are my fave lippies :)
- NUDE/ MAUVE -

Left to right: Chanel Allure Lipstick in #77, Kate Moss by Rimmel London Lipstick in #7 and Hard Candy All Glossed Up Hydrating Lip stain in Mauveous.
As a rule of thumb, wear nudes when you have really intense smokey eye, just so it won’t collab with the rest of your make up, its like your body, you wouldn’t want everything to be featured, right?
- CORAL -

Left to right: Chanel Lipstick in #69- Flirt and NYC City Duet Lipstick in The Rock-a-fellas (light coral and dark coral)
I don’t really wear that much corals, but when I do these are my favorite, especially the Chanel one, it gives the slightest tint of coral but and lets the color of your lips seep through a little.
- PINK -

Left to right: Revlon Lip butter in Cupcake, Milani Statement Lipstick in Fruit Punch, Wet n’ Wild Lipstick in Nouveau Pink and Wet n’ Wild Matte Lipstick in Don’t Blink Pink
Ahhhh, my pink lippies, probably my most worn color. From blue tone pinks to fun purple toned ones, I just love them. Rock an intense bright pink lips and you’re all set for spring and summer!
- BERRY -

Left to right: Maybelline Color Whisper in Berry Ready, Wet n’ Wild Matte Lipstick in Sugar Plum Fairy and L’oreal Color Riche Lip Stain in Infinite Fuchsia
I’ve just been recently introduced to deep berry colors and I love them! I love wearing them even its spring here, I love how an almost no make up day can make it look more polished.
* out-takes *

blotting off my lippie * sending an update to my Di * dont even ask
hahahaah :D

Simple Eye Look without Make up Brushes!
I’ve been wanting to do this post for ages but I just feel like its always not good enough. But I mastered up the courage and finally took pics of this simple eye look, this is my go-to look especially when I’m in a hurry, its fast, easy and I don’t have to clean loads of brushes after!
This step is optional, prime your lids and blend it out using your ring finger.

I’ll be using this Wet n’ Wild trio in Walking on Eggshells and using my ring finger, apply this shimmery pink color all over your lids. Just use a patting motion instead of rubbing it in, not only this will make the shadow more intense, it won’t thug on the skin of your lids too much.

Using my pinky finger, I’ll pack on this light brown color and apply it on the outer corner of my eye taking it just a little bit on my crease area. This will serve as your crease brush. Using your pinky finger will give you more control because its much smaller than your other fingers, it will give more precise application.

The key to this look is to NEVER mix up your fingers or else it will be muddy. I obviously don’t want harsh edges on this look so I’ll be using my pointy finger to blend everything out.

I’m then going to use my middle finger and take this shimmery white color and apply it underneath my browbone and inner corner to brighten up my look.

I’m then going to take my ring finer again and with the same color I used for my crease I’ll be smudging it just a little to give a more balanced look. I opted for a dark brown eyeliner for my top lash line and water line just because I want my eyes pretty natural.

Last step is to curl your lashes and apply mascara! I only applied mascara on my top lashes so it’ll give a more doll eyed look.

The eye look is now complete! :)

Just finish off the rest of your face with blush and choice of lip color :)

Q:What is your biggest make up must-have? :3
Eyebrow powder and concealer! :)
Make up Starter Kit!
I’ve been planning for what feels like ages to start blogging about make up and beauty. I’ve been thinking what blog post should I start with to kick off my beauty posts, and last night it hit me, a make up starter kit would be awesome! All of these products are from the drugstore not only that most of it can also be purchased in the Philippines and I even featured some local products. I hope you guys enjoy! :)
- FACE -
- Foundation -

Revlon Nearly Naked (Nude)
I am inlove with this foundation, it is a build able coverage but still very light to your skin, even lighter than BB Creamm. It doesn’t have a funny smell and its very blendable. The only down side is it doesn’t have a pump so what I usually do is I shake the bottle first and whatever’s left on the cap is enough for me.
- Concealer -

Nichido Stick Concealer (Beige) and Rimmel London Perfect Match Skin Adapting Concealer (Ivory)
I decide to put in tow type of concealers, a stick type and a liquid type, mainly because I use stick types for my blemishes and the redness around my nose and the liquid one for under my eyes. I love the Nichido one because that little thing would last me for months, almost a year, its very blendable and not drying and it also smells really good. The Rimmel one has a brush tip applicator at the end which makes it very convenient however I would still often find myself blending it either with my finger or with brush.
- Setting Powder/ Face Powder -

Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder (Transparent)
I cannot get enough of this little guy. It stays on forever, it doesn’t make me look cakey, its cheap and it works. How can you argue with that?
- Highlighter -

Hard Candy Bronzer (Tiki)
Can I just say that its one of my beauty pet peeves when most highlighters are often called as Bronzers, I mean if I want to look like a vampire then yes I would use this as a bronzer. But anyway, that’s my little rant, haha! What I do want to say is how much a difference it makes when you do proper highlighting, it just makes your skin really nice. I can never go a day with out using a highlighter because it just makes you extra pretty. Put it on your inner corner, underneath the brow bone, on the bridge of your nose, cupids bow and the apples of your cheeks and your good to go!
- Bronzer -

NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer (Sunny)
The hype is true! Haha. This product is amazing, I don’t usually contour my face every single day but when I do this is what I use. Its not too muddy, its not too orange, its matte, its blendable, it works.
- Blush -

Rimmel London Blush (Amber)
I decided to give you three choices for blush. This first one is almost very close to your skin tone but still noticeable that you have blush on, this is perfect when your doing really dramatic eyes and you want your cheeks to be a little bit more subtle.

Wet n’ Wild Blush (Pearlescent Pink)
I would go for this blush as my everyday blush. Its not too shimmery and it gives your cheeks a really nice flush to it.

Wet n’ Wild Blush (Heather Silk)
I feel like you should atleast have one matte blush and this blush from wet n’ wild is just perfect. This is super pigmented though, I would tap my blush just a tiny tiny bit and that should be enough already.
- Eyebrows -

Fashion 21 Eyebrow Duo and NYC Kohl/ Brow Eyeliner Pencil (Taupe)
I cannot go outside the house with out feeling in my eye brows. I feel like its an essential to fill in your brows for a really polished and clean look, for the days that you don’t have that much make up on, filling in the brows will make a huge difference. I like using powder for the days when I’m in a hurry and I just want a more natural look. For really strong eye looks and if I want sharper edges, I use pencil. Both works so well and is very affordable.
- EYES -
- Primer -

Essence I <3 Stage Eye shadow Base
I have to be honest I don’t really use eyelid primers because I don’t really wear eye shadow that often and when I do and I don’t really need to use a primer because I find that eye shadows usually last on me quite long. But this essence one is highly recommended because its very affordable, it doesn’t crease and it really does even out your eyelids making it a perfect canvass.
- Eye shadow -

Wet n’ Wild Trio (Walking on Eggshells)
Wet n’ Wild trios are just amazing, highly pigmented, blendable, its not chalky, it has a nice buttery feel to it and its just plain amazing, I feel like nothing beats this brand for eye shadow, this trio is just your perfect everyday look, I love this trio as you can probably tell already, it gives your nice a nice radiance to it.

Wet n’ Wild Trio (Knock on Wood)
I decided to recommend another trio from the same brand if you want to take your look for a more amplified level by bringing in some smokiness and a little bit more depth. These colors are just to die for.
- Eyeliner -

NYC Eyeliner Duet
Love using black eyeliner to tight line my eyes to make my lashes appear a little bit thicker than what they really are. I like using the white eyeliner to line my water line to brighten up my eyes and make it more doll like.
- Mascara -

Covergirl Clum Crusher Mascara
This is probably my fave mascara to date. It separates lengthens and it just holds the curl so well. Asian lashes are most invisible to the human eye but this just gets the job done, I love how the brush is curved so it can really get into your lashes and create magic.
- LIPS -

Rimmel London (from the Kate Moss Rouge Lipstick line, #7), Milani Statement Lipstick (Fruit Punch), Wet n’ Wild Lipstick (Hot Red) and Wet n’ Wild Matte Lipstick (Sugar Plum Fairy)
I have four recommendations for lip products just because I’m a lip junkie and I can never get too much. First lipstick is my favorite nude lipstick, its not too nude that it makes me dead, it has a peachy pink undertone to it and is very moisturising. Second one is you everyday pink lips, I love how its kinda scented but in a good way and it just glides on so well and it lasts a long time. Third lipstick is your classic red, it has a blue undertone to it so it makes your teeth really white. And lastly, this vampy berry colour. I know its spring from where I live but I still love wearing this, I find that most matte lipstick stays on forever and it does stain my lips so well. Its a little drying cause its matte but thats what lip balms are for!
So thats basically everything I recommend as a good starter kit. I hope you found this helpful and liked my first make up blog post. Thanks for reading!

Q:i dare you! post a photo of you and your boyfriend! :-) canada is beautiful.
Sure.
Cochrane Trip 2013
Went to Cochrane last April 11 to celebrate my brother’s birthday. They had the best ice cream everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. The place is kinda quiet, almost out of the movie as well just like Canmore, since both are somehow close to each other. We weren’t able to really visit each and every aisle of the place but every little bit that we were able to see was just unbelievable.

Wide eyed me, waiting to leave.

Ze birthday boy.

Le Cruz kids.

First stop: Mac Kay’s Ice Cream Parlour

They have awesome flavours, they even have Halo-halo which as you all may know a famous summer dessert in the Philippines! I had a hard time choosing, they also have Vietnamese Coffee (which my dad tried and I was jelly), Pistachio (which my mom got and it was soooo yummy, again I was jelly), they also have Langka or jack fruit which I really wanted to try but my heart was kinda set on one specific flavour…….

Mint Chocolate Chip!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!!!! It was sooo yummy :) I kinda wanted more but I don’t want to spoil dinner, yes we had dessert first, that’s just how we do.

The place was adorable, it’s kinda like a different little place when you get inside, it’s almost the perfect paradise for kids.

Bought this little tub of heaven while trying to look for a place to eat, we all devoured this little baby we loved it.

We ate at Prairie Smoke, the place was very homey and the servers were nice. Food was kinda okay-ish, wasn’t the best but definitely not that bad.

What I had: Salad with Raspberry dressing (amaze-balls) and 8 oz Sirloin Steak with Roasted Veggies and Stuffed Potato.
Wasn’t the best I had, but then again it wasn’t the worst.

They were sweet enough to give us free dessert, if I’m not mistaken it was a Classic Strawberry Cheesecake, the dessert was probably my favourite. Not too sweet but definitely a nice way to end the meal :)
